Behind the screens:
Stylish Star Allu Arjun, Trivikram Srinivas are coming together to
entertain us with ‘S/O Satyamurthy’ in a grand manner. Expectations are
in high and this combo is trying to recreate the magic of their previous
hit ‘Julaayi’. Let us see how much impact they created with S/O
Satyamurthy.
Story:
S/O Satyamurthy, Viraj Anand (Allu Arjun), following father's values
decides to inherit his dad's debts though he has the option of disowning
them after his death. To solve them all, he returns back to India along
with his brother (Vennela Kishore) and his family. He turns as wedding
planner and there he ends of falling in love with Sameera (Samantha),
who happens to be a daughter of Sambasiva Rao (Rajendra Prasad), a money
minded entrepreneur. When he accuses his dad in front of him, Viraj
decides to solve his problem by bringing back the property papers of the
land encroached by powerful person Devraj (Upendra). To unravel, where
this will lead to watch ‘S/O Satyamurthy’ in theatres.
Performances:
Allu Arjun did his job well. His stylish looks are attractive. He played
subdued role and he restricted himself from mass elements like rough
look, his highly standard dance moves and high tempo energy to do settle
role.
Samantha attracts and she tempts with her beauty. Adah Sharma got
limited screen presence. Her makeup is not good. Nitya Menon is wasted
in her small role. Sneha is decent in her role as Upendra's wife.
Upendra performed well in his role. Rajendra Prasad performed well.
Prakash Raj got limited screen presence and so is the case with Rao
Ramesh, Kota Srinivas Rao, M.S.Narayana. Few Comedy scenes by
Brahmanandam and Ali are good. Vennela Kishore's comedy is not
attractive. Pavitra Lokesh, Sindhu Tolani, Sampath, Chaitanya Krishna
and others performed accordingly.
Analysis:
'S/O Satyamurthy' story is about how a father plays a important role and
impact in shaping up their son’s career. Director Trivikram Srinivas
extracted main story theme into 162 minutes of film. He fails to execute
the story with mixing of unwanted comedy scenes and boring screenplay.
Interval bang is not Upto the mark. Trivikram with galaxy of stars did
not make justice to anyone and Tamil flavor too put viewers off.
Trivikram failed in his screen-play and direction.
Technical Values:
Music of Devi Sri Praad is good. Background score is not up to the
level. Picturaisation wise my picks are Super Machi, Seethakalam. Prasad
Murella’s cinematography is attractive. Few Dialogues by Trivikram
Srinivas are good. Fight sequences are good. Few action sequences are
attractive. Editing by Praveen Pudi could have been better. Choreography
of the songs is apt for the lyrics. Production Values of Haarika &
Hassine Creations are all right.
Positives:
- Mid of Second half
- Cinematography
- Few comedy scenes
Negatives:
- Story execution
- First half
- Predictable Story
- slow pace
Final Verdict:
First half is going like up and downs
( Sentiment scenes- Poor Comedy scenes- Sentiment scenes- Poor comedy
scenes...) and drags upto post interval. And moves little bit faster
from mid of second half and goes quite predictable.
Director Trivikram fails to execute good theme with mixed points of morals and family values.
Fans who expects Alluarjun's sensational dancing moves will be disappointed for sure.
S/O Satyamurthy film is Alluarjun-Trivikram combinational misfire.
Movie Rating: 2.5/5
